Weird Coolant Leak!please Help!
OK
about a month ago my low coolant light started popping up out of nowhere. So I filled it up with coolant and it did the same thing again. Looking at it closer when I turn the car off after about 10 minutes coolant starts to leak out of the top of resorvoir tank (quite a bit) and even with the coolant low every time I turn the car off it will leak out a bit more. I drained the coolant flushed the system and refilled it and let it run with the cap off for a while to maybe let any air pockets out?RIGHT?. It ran good for two days and then started leaking again. I can't figure it out. Would air in the system cause this??
Also I am running a 160 Thermostat and the car runs at a little over 210 ?NORMAL?
Thanx

You left the cap off to let out any air pockets...
That is part of your problem. There are two specific bleeder valves which must be opened after each service.
Also, not all 160* thermostats are for reverse cooled LT1 heads. There is an extra piece on LT1 Thermostats to operate the reverse cooling system.
Excess water in the reservoir is unusual. If you replenished the fluid to the proper level, it should not overfill. The only reason it would run over is due to air being introduced into the system. It could be due to several reasons....
With the engine cold, take off the radiator cap then start the car. As it warms up and the thermostat begins to open after a few minutes, do you see any air bubbles? Do that check and we'll go to the next step.
