Washed Engine no start :(
Got the old unit out and the opti wasnt wet at all on the disc, maybe just the electronics got it????
The cap and rotor had seen better days though.
I bought a unit from autozone its a OEM reman with lifetime warranty, also picked up a new cap and rotor.
Put the stuff in and with a dead battery the car fired up instantly, sounded great too.
I Put everything but question if I waited to long to stab the waterpump so I dunno if its gonna leak tomorrow, hope not. If it does Ill just redo it tomorrow, no biggie.
Caint wait to see if she runs any better, not that she didnt run good before but man was that cap and rotor fried.
Whoever gets this car after me is one luck SOB I can tell you that.

All done today. Took a little while to get the coolant all bleed and everything.
1 weird thing is that the idle was sticking up and Im thinking a vac line must have came off them the car was trying to start or something.
Checked all lines good so I pressed on the throttle butterflies and sure enough they where being sticky for some reason so I hit them and the springs and all with some wd40 and cleaned them up real good.
Problem solved.
Man she is running good too, I can wind it up to 5k with no hiccups and she gets up there quick too. Seems like shes running alot better now and I didnt think she was running bad before.
Just shows what new plugs, wires, coil pack, distributor cap, rotor, and opti will do for you.
