wait..no...yea...yup im pritty sure its a turd

Ok now the car is doing something different.. imagine that.... Now it wants to run haalf way descent above 2100rpm but from 1500-2000 it sux... The rpms fluctuate real bad with a steady foot and going down the road it wont hardely pull at all in that rpm range. The new thing that it is doing is if you are driving along and then have to press the clutch and stop or pull in somewhere then it wants to idle at about 500 rpms and every now and then it will die. !!! Have already replaced the ks,plugs, and wires. The timing is still advancing up to 45 degrees when revved up and around 20 at an idle (thought the ks would fix that) another thing is that my opti vent lines are all messed up and stopped up. So yea the pti is probably soon to be toast .... or is it already? Also once it is warmed up then you can be like going along and drop it to 4th and stomp it and it will go but as the rpms are increasing it wants to cut out. also driving down the road in 5th or 6th you cant give it much gas or it will fall on it's face. There is a very fine line there between running ok and spitting and sputtering. Could a pre-o2 exhaust leak cause all of this? Could it be the o so dreaded opti? Please help me!!!!!

also could it be the tps? The volts on it at an idle are reading .59 which from what i hear is normal.

Sounds a lot like what my car was doing before I changed the OPTI. Around 1800rpms it would miss unless I was on the throttle VERY lightly. Plus the idle would jump around.

How old is your opti? Does it behave any differently when the engine is cold vs. warm?

it runs way better when it is cold when it is warm is when it runs so bad. The opti supposably (going off what the guy i boight the car from told me) has about 20,000 miles on it. I sure hope that isnt it but from what i hear it sure sounds like it.
