VRE 383 with LE3 Package Finally being Dynoed!!
Re: VRE 383 with LE3 Package Finally being Dynoed!!
431 and 415... MadZ28 (Ion) had the tune almost dead on!!
419 and 411 was the 1st pull...
It had more then 375lbs of torque at 3k then peak around 4k and stayed til 5250 then let down while the hp never stopped climbing. The guys at the shop were impressed with the little LT1.
They were talking a lot of smack... want to run it? Want to run it (They have a lot of LS1s)? I would have beaten some of them for sure... but they had a few twin turbo LS1s there (4 actually) that I don't think I would have faired to well against. haha
I want to go back there once I get my drivetrain built and my direct port setup so I can lay down almost 700whp and shut those LS1 junkies up. I'm a F Body and still get no respect... it's like they were never into LT1s. A little disappointing at how narrow minded one of them was... but i'll fix his ***. haha
By the way... Lloyd is amazing... he was so on point with his hypothesis. That had me in awe when I realized that. Insane dude... insane

pretty bad *** #'s.
as stated several times, who cares what the dyno says (with in reason, LOL)if it runs like you want and is as drivable as you want.
If this was someones "shop car" they could obviously break the 450 RWHP mark. Aluminum drive shaft, light weight wheels/tires, repeatedly tuning and tuning and tuning on the dyno, icing down the intake, using a short belt, etc, etc, although this is alot more like what most customers will see whith a set up like this since this is truely in "street" trim.
If he posts a dyno graph, it will show what the HP/TQ curves look like and comparing that to the average 400 RWHP dyno graph will show why this thing feels so much faster.
He said that it was over 375 RWTQ by 3000 RPM and there are ALOT of 400 RWHP cars that never even reach 375 RWTQ at ANY RPM.

I just went over your mods again . . . .
Was that dyno pull with an open exhaust cut out?
If you are running thru an SLP loud mouth and no cut out, you can pick up with an open exhaust cut out or some 3" TRUE DUALS with turn downs at the rear end.
I am not wanting you to start chasing dyno #'s and you might not want the extra noise of the 3" TRUE DUALS and like the car just like it is BUT on a foot note, most people anywhere near these #'s usually already have the 3" true duals and electric water pump on their car.
