Vortec rotating assembly in LT1
Vortec rotating assembly in LT1
I have a rotating assembly, (crank, rods), from a Vortec 383 that
I'm trying to put into a 1997 LT-1. The problem is the cylinder 4 piston not being centered in the bore. This is prior to and after connecting the rod to the crank. The crank went in and rotates fine, the Ross piston and Sealed power rings are new. Is there a difference in these 2 blocks that could be causing this. I did have the LT-1 bored .030 over.
