Spark plug wires and passenger side opti....

How the hell do you get the opti connectors onto the opti on the passenger side? Do I need to remove the crank pulley? If so, does it just come off by removing the 3 bolts or do I need to do something more? Thanks

The crank pulley can be removed by taking out the three bolts, it may get slightly siezed and require some force to seperate from crank hub. Unless you have huge hands I don't see removing this is required.

I have huge hands and I was still able to get the opti boots on. It just requires some finesse and the occasional expletive. The best way is to find where you have the best view of the passenger side of the opti and go from there. Trying to wedge a light so you can see what you're doing helps a lot too.

Whoever engineered the motor bay was a sadist. You shouldn't have to remove the crank pulley, but putting the boots on the terminals from underneath the car is about the only way to go.

Recently changed the wires on my car (8.5mm MSD),didn't have any problems with the passenger side opti terminals,as stated, you need to lie underneath the car, then access is pretty straightforward .

You can also remove the belt and the tension idler I less than 1 minute. This opens up the passenger side of the opti a great deal.
