Does anyone know if vortec heads will work on a 97 LT1 block?

 

Vortec heads are essentially copies of the cast iron LT1 heads used on the B-Body (Caprice/SS/Roadmaster/Fleetwood). But the Vortecs do not have the correct cooling passages for the reverse flow cooling LT1 block. Their cooling passages match the Gen1 SBC.
