Re: Video LE2 z28 on road course

That was fun to watch, thank you. Do you have a decent drivers seat, something that has good support? If you don't make that one of the next things you do. Being comfortable in the turns makes it a lot easier to concentrate with the job at hand. One last thing, and I'm not knocking your track, but it seems like theres to many sweeping turns. I would have liked to see a few more straights, even if they were short ones and maybe a u turn thrown in to see something more than just a 3rd to 4th gear change. One last question, how long is that track and what's your best time?

not my favorite track, but decent not too far from home. I prefer VIR and Road atlanta which are also better for this car. Best time is 1:22

Nice vid! Don't they have hills down in Georgia?

Looked to me like your friend in the white Vette let you pass. True?

He let me pass...I had let him pass as well. I had more on the straights, he had more in the turns. That would hurt him in a real race, as it would be hard for him to get by me. He ended up beating my best time by about .5 sec. Good fun.

I just got home and watched the video again (this time with sound). Looks like there were a few times you could have downshifted to 2nd coming out of some of the slower turns (6:05 in the video, for instance). Not worth it?

Nice vid! Your motor sounds awesome. All you need now are a set of tires and you are set!!

Did you have to custom fab up some brackets for the seats to mount to? I'm in need of some seats and don't want them to sit any higher then the stock ones. If you did make custom brackets was it difficult?

Re: Video LE2 z28 on road course

I got the brackets that came with the corbeau seats. (separate order item)

It may sit a bit higher than stock but it is ok. The seat is rocking a bit on the brackets, so I need to look into that. My passenger seat is also a corbeau, but I got a big one so my students could fit in the car. It sits lower than the driver seat.

How tall are you? I'm 6' 3" and with my helmet on come pretty close to the roof of the car. I'm concerned any height increase could cause me a problem.

Re: Video LE2 z28 on road course

At 6'3" you may be too tall. I am 5 11 and am getting close to bopping my head on the ceiling when my seat is moved forward, moved back farther there seems to be more room.

The white frc c5 is stock with headers. Main difference is he weighs 3000 lbs and my car still weighs 3400 lbs.
