Very disappointed with Flowmaster
I have the flowmaster catback, and I agree, it has a pretty bad drone, but I found that once i switched to some nice exhaust tips it really directed the sound away from the interior as opposed to those ugly turndowns. Also, I keep my car cover folded in the trunk of my car, it really seems to help keep the noise inside the car to a minimum, but it still has that much needed bark outside
If you still want to change, cant go wrong with a hooker muffler, such a sweet sound....

I second that! I've had mine for a week and it sounds bad-*** without being obnoxious. Best thing I've put on my car yet!

Crossflow mufflers will never flow as well as single in/single out mufflers. If you're going Flowmaster, I suggest using a single in/single out 40 or 50 series muffler. You will not be disappointed. That I guarantee.
And I'm not just talking about guys with Fbodies. Take a look at what a lot of pro street drivers use, and you'll find Flowmaster. Hell, just open the October issue of Summit's catalogue, and turn to page 20. Look at what he uses. Now turn to the center fold, with the brown 68 Camaro. Look at what he uses.
Ignorance is everywhere.

Hi ya Derrick Redd, so you swapped out the bullet for an ultraflo? I wouldn't think flow is affected much but is it noticably quieter now?

You can't beat the lower sound levels combined with the excellent flow capability of the Ultraflow.
I was originally considering Flowmasters for my 01 Z28, but I heard that those were really weak with the LS1, but I heard good things about it for the LT1, I dont know why yours doesnt sound good maybe its just your opinion but the Flowmasters really sound good on my L99 (LT1 with shorter bore and stroke). The flowmasters on my Caprice are louder than the Loudmouth on my Z IMO. I really get alot of compliments on the sound of the Flo's.
Another bad thing is that piece of crap Didn't give you a nice power gain eithier. Flowmaster is ghey period. I have them on both my cars now but that is because they were already on there and they're coming off soon
Ditto with moparman if you want just a muffler. Had a Flow, too drony with CAT out, 3 chamber too quite, went with the Hooker - great. Might be too quite with the CAt in though...... thinking of a Borla.
