Always nice to get shiny go fast parts. Let us know how they do. I would like to see what they do at the track.

The exhaust runners are like glass, he shaped and blended the valve seat area really nice. It is really pushing the max limits if the 1 5/8 gaskets. He also reshaped the intake runners, blended the valve seat and bowl, opened up the chamber around the valves and blended the sparkplug area better. Installed new stainless valves and the beehive springs (I should of went with double springs). The heads were also pressure tested to 60 psi.
Got my cam today installed that but I busted the dam water pump seal on the timing chain cover re-installing it so now I need to wait till tomorrow for the new part to proceed.

I'm glad you posted the single pattern cam faq/myth buster. I was worried when ramair95 said single pattern cams were no good for the Lt1, mine is grandfathered because it's been in the motor since 1995 when lingenfelter suggested it and before anyone knew anything about an Lt1. I always thought my traction problem was from the Supercharger and 10 pounds of boost, but now I know different it's the single pattern cam causing the wheel spin. Thanks Again.

I never said "single pattern cams were no good." They are just unpopular. You don't see them on LT1s and it's probably for a reason - the exhaust port needs more work than the intake port.

You also are running boost. That's a different story. Relax.

Again, you need to rethink your strategy. But if not, good luck.
So what were you saying about single pattern cams by making a statement such as "Awful choice"? Let's get something in the clear right now, you read articles and listen to people who run certain setups even though "you are tired of reading cut and paste clippings". I look at people like Smokey Yunick who became a legend and it wasn't because he did what everyone else was doing.
By the way the exhaust ports look like a mirror inside.

"No good" and "not ideal" are not the same.

That's your opinion and I respect that. I will not change it though or re-think it.

The finish is not nearly as important as the shape.

I don't have a camera that will fit into the ports nor am I willing to pull a valve off to take a picture. The exhaust ports were worked and they look damn good, he shaped the valve seats nice, and the exhaust runners were opened up and they look super, I am not worried. I'll have it at the track soon enough.

"Damn good, nice, super." Have you scrutinized alot of portwork over your years?

Where are you running?

Dude he CC'd the heads in one of the videos okay. Sure as hell that I will trust a guy who ports heads for NHRA and I will value his opinion over someone who follows the latest trend.
I used to race at Englishtown, but some other tracks are closer to me now since I moved 12 years ago to a different part of NJ. It's what I enjoyed back then but family life has taken the front seat. Kids are getting older now and I am getting back into it.

It is what it is. At this point in my life I just want the car to start and the supercharger to whistle. My car has 48,000 miles on it more than half of them going up and down on a lift from 1994 to 2000. It sat for 5-6 years with a blown tranny. Since I started restoring it a few years ago I added probably 2,000 miles. I put a 4L80E tranny, updated the ignition to LTCC, and the injectors with a versafueler, brakes, and made cool led sequential tail lights. I bought a set of Kooks Ceramic Coated LT headers 2 years ago and have yet to put them on. I wasted lots of money on an A1000 pump setup only to remove it all and put dual pumps in the tank. Can't go fast anywhere on long island with all the traffic. One of these years I'll put a rear in the car and take it to Englishtown once to see what it runs. Good Luck with your heads and have fun fighting with RamAir95TA. My heads are AFR heads from 1995, serial #000002, I hope they flow better than stock.
