User friendly headers

as the title says. The exh bolt broke off in the head, closest to the firewall, pass. side. I don't want to pull the heads to fix it. Car is completely stock and don't plan to mod it. I'm hoping the headers will be an easy fix. I am looking for a cheap, easy to install and service header-if there is one. It's a 93 Z28 if it matters.

replacing your manifolds with headders will not fix a bolt broken off in the head. you will most likeley have to pull the head to drill out the bolt. there is not much room to do it with the head in the car. its really not that hard to do.

There are 2 set of holes in the head(outboard port anyway). It was my understanding that the hole that is NOT used by the factory exh manifold is the one most headers use. Is this not correct?

Yes headers will fix his problem. There are 2 different bolt holes on each end of the cylinder heads. I personaly have pacesetter long tube headers and have not had a problem with them. But if your looking for just an easy bolt on type deal I would recomend a shorty header so you can retain the rest of your exhaust.

Ditto, I would look at a shorty header. This is a good fix for the problem you have.

Other header options complicate the rest of the exhaust some. Shorties are not always easiest to install but they will bolt to the stock cats.

Use a quality gasket, maybe even the stock stainless layered ones.
