i think that means your opti is crapping out on you. i am not sure though.

It has to do with an erratic low res signal from the opti. Start by checking all connections. Probably will be the opti, unfortunately.

Of course I could be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.

Edit: it has to do with the high res signal, not low.

I saw the other thread, and the opti appears to be the culprit.

okay for all you guys that had optis go otu did it throw this code or what? if mine was out wouldn;t it misfire all the time and run bad even when warm right?

You really ought to keep all these questions in a single thread, since they are all about the same problem and the same subject. People trying to answer a bunch of threads posted in scattergun fashion are not going to have the benefit of the previous responses regarding the problem. I've posted to a couple of your threads, and this one indicates you probably ignored my previous posts. We told you what the code was for and explained it in detail. Rob/Shoebox has also answered this question previously. People are going to give up trying to help if you don't go about it the right way.... IMHO.

i am sorry i am new to the board I am just very frustrated and king of pissed off I mean why would GM make such a crappy design? putting a moisture sensitive dist under a water pump???? anyway I have one other question could the harness be bad by any chance?

I think it was already pointed out to check the wiring. You can unplug it and use an ohmmeter to look at it from end to end.
