urethane tranny mount?

urethane tranny mount?

i put it on today! and i struggled to do it i had to move the tranny a little to the side which i think is now vibrating at 4k rpm pretty bad i also installed a new crossmember.

are you still running the original steel driveshaft. If so yank it out and have it aligned and balanced by a professional driveshaft place. the factory steel shafts are welded incorrectly and will be out of blanace at higher rpms. They had to replace the whole tube on mine, cost about $150. That or try and get an aluminum driveshaft from a newer car.

did you have trouble putting it on? i had to shift the transmission about a half inch or so to get the bolts to go in is that normal?

hey (442olds) kind of makes sense to me, is that only because its a poly urethane mount because with the regulur rubber one didnt have trouble putting?

I also have a 4k vibration but thought it was due to some bad plugs or wires. I may try swapping my urethane mount out for a 1lE mount. I heard those were stron but not as rough on the vibes!
