Turn key, nothing happens

Having an odd issue with my 93 Firehawk as of late.
It's happened three times this week.

I get in the car, put the key in, the fuel pump fires up, the accessories work, the battery gauge is normal.
I turn the key and nothing happens, the accessories don't flash, the car
doesn't crank, no ticking, the battery gauge doesn't even move.
I do this a few times and the car starts up as if nothing was ever wrong.

Twice it's happened in the morning (cold start)
Once at the gas station (already warm from a 7 mile drive)

I've disconnected the MSD-6A ignition, that didn't seem to fix it the problem.
The charging system seems to be working fine.
I don't have a big stereo system
I tried both sets of keys, same problem.

Ideas? Maybe something wrong with my VATS?

Very possible it's your ignition switch. Over the years the contacts in the ignition switch can wear out. What you can do is when it acts up like this again, jump your starter using a remote starter switch that you can buy at any auto parts store. All you need to do is connect the two alligator clips to the positive terminal and the other to your solenoid.
