Arrow Low idle/cold stall...trying to start fixing it today...suggestions?

95 z28 A4 94k miles. On a cold start, it starts slow. Car will idle at 500 at a stop in drive and seems like it wants to die, I'll give it some gas. When I start it up to let it warm up it died this morning. Car has stalled once and while driving from a red light on soft throttole it died real quick but came back to life with a little gas. Check engine light came on, but went away when I started the car up again that afternoon. No other lights have come on at all. I've had the car for about 300 miles only.

I've done some searching and today I'm going to check the EGR, IAC, vacume leaks and alternator. I don't have a scanning tool right now and have parts to change cap/rotor/plugs/wires, but won't get around 'til next weekend.

All I need are just some suggestions an anything else I should check. Anybody else with similar problems? How'd you fix it?
Thanks

im thinking its the IAC. also look at the vacuum lines on the trottle body, they like to like to dry rot. I would also clean the throttle body with some carb solv or something.

Check the code... its stored in the PCM.

Does it idle better after the engine warms up? May be a problem with the coolant temp sensor.

Probably not the problem but a fuel pressure test is a good thing to do.
