tune up tips? Stock manifold
i replaced my wires when i did my opti/waterpump i had to have my aunt put on the #8 plug wire cause i couldnt even get my hand in there to pull off the boot or put it on im going to attempt to do the plugs and put some heat sheilding on the wires you guys have any tips? cause i cant even imagine how im gonna get a ratchet in there to remove the plug.
haha yeah i dont have $500 laying around to buy headers nor do i have $500 lying around to have them installed and i think a header install is a little too advanced for a novice tech like myself.
Use platinum plugs so you dont have to do it again for a long time
. You wont be able to use a ratchet for some plugs... it will make it harder, anyway. Get a ratcheting wrench that fits over the end of the spark plug socket. Will save you some time. Flex-head is a plus

The NGK's are great, no problems with them. If you plan to mod the car much beyond stock, stay away from the platinum plugs IMO. Sure, they last awhile longer, but they don't dissipate heat like a copper plug. After a couple back to back WOT runs with platinum plugs you'll begin to see detonation because the plug is hot enough to ignite the mixture.
The biggest thing you'll need when doing the plugs on an F-body is patience.

i probably wont be modding it to much ive had it for almost 4 years and its still pretty stock besides flowmaster exhaust...and i should be coming into some money soon and want an LS1 TA/Firehawk badly so i probably wont even have it much longer
i got to it ok, and im no skinny toothpick i only got to mine i think because i had already deleted my AC. made it alot easier. although i did still have to twist around in some funky positions. good luck
If you drop you Y pipe it will be alot easier...I was gutting my cat and decied since I could see most of my plugs that I would just replace them then. It is really not hard to take the y pipe down. Just soak the bolts with PB Blaster. It probably took me an hour and a half to change them this way. A swivel head wrench was a big help. I'm no tooth pick either.
