True Duals Kit

Does anyone know if there is a true dual kit for our cars? I just received my LT pacesetter headers and i am itching to get these installed. I was looking at the summit racing true dual kit for $80.00, does anyone have any experience with it? Thanks

Re: True Duals Kit

It won't fit the pacesetters. A local guy tried it and now is selling the kit.

EDIT: You need some longer tubes than what the kit comes with. The X-pipe is fine though.

Re: True Duals Kit

Do a search of past threads, I believe some people are running the Summit universal 3" X-Pipe or an equilvalent.

Re: True Duals Kit

i have a single bullet muffler on the stock I pipe with a 2.75-3 adapter, a 3" bullet and a 3" turndown right before the rear axle. stock exhaust manifolds, stock Y-pipe and stock cat. it really rumbles the inside and my friend says its really loud when i drive by. people look at me ALOT!lol. i had my friend drive it around a parking lot, he wasnt really doing anything except driving VERY slow in 1st then 2nd, he didnt drive it how i normaly drive on side streets, he drove very slow and not much gas, and its pretty loud, but most of all it is deeper and meaner than ****. It sounds like a demon or soemthing.lol. VERY low tone and VERY deep sounding. keep in mind its all stock before the bullet. i recomend this for anyone looking for cheap alternative to cat back. only draw back is no tailpipes so idk how emmisions goes on OBD1 cars. i havent gone yet and dont plan on going

Re: True Duals Kit

I've always been somewhat interested in making a jig and making my true duals for people that wanted them. I don't think it'd work out though

Re: True Duals Kit

Lane's makes them, if you're not concerned with cost.
If you are, then have your local muffler shop fab it up for about $300.
