my brother lives in alaska and has a 97 ta wit like 120,000 miles completly stock, it has trouble starting but once running its fine. what could be the problem? thanks.

 

sounds like needs a tuneup, plugs, wires, opti or at least cap/rotor, clean throttle body. Fuel injection cleaner in the gas, check pcv. Also check wiring harness that connects to opti for corrosion.
