i need help on how to change the fluid on the transmission? any tips plz!!!!!

 

assuming it is an auto, remove trans pan with a container to catch the fluid. remove rectangular filter and seal, replace, and apply a gasket to the pan. NOTE: You may want to get a ball head hammer to tap the bolt holes on the pan to make them flat again to prevent the pan from leaking. Reinstall pan and tighten bolts to 11lb torque. refill transmission to full amount (around 4-5 quarts).

Under-filling will cause the tranny to overheat and overfilling will cause bubbling and will damage the transmission.
