Transgo shift kit and TA performance button, is there a difference ?

My automatic has the performance button and I am thiniking of installing a Transgo Shift Kit, here are my questions

1. Is it worth installing the Transgo and what to expect.

2. Would I continue to use the Performance button with the Transgo

3. Once installed, does anything in the computer have to be changed or reprogrammed.

4. What would be a guess on having a tranny shop install it.

Thanks

1. Yes, with stronger and more positive shifts the result.
2. The Performance button is a joke and only affects part-throttle shifts anyway. It had no bonus at WOT vs. cars w/o the button.
3. No.
4. $250-$300.

It will be a worthwhile upgrade, a shift kit is much better way to go.
Trans Go is a good shift kit in my opinion, its what I run in my trannies, never had a problem.
There is one guy on here that hates them and he builds trannies but to date he is the only professional I have talked to that dislikes them.
Go with the shift kit you will be much happier with it.

Ditto.

If you get a chance, look at a Trans-Go kit - Lots of hwd and upgraded parts and definately more noticeable that the mod; They compliment each other, but the kit alone would make the bigger difference. I have both...and enjoy what they do over OEM.
