I've been getting the smell of transmission fluid through my air conditioning when I come to a stop. I don't see any drips or puddles under the car. The car has 115,XXX on it and still has the original tranny. I still shifts like it always has and seems like it's fine. What would cause me to smell fluid?

 

I'd pull the flywheel cover and peek at that front seal, also run your hand up on top and see if maybe the vent tube is spitting anything out?

 

Check your radiator. A few years ago my stock tranny cooler in the radiator started leaking into the anti-freeze side. Take the radiator cap off and see if you see any red ATF. I may be way off here, but its worth a minute of your time to check.
