I have a 1994 z28 . I bought it with a blown transmission (gone now) I bought a used tranny from a guy that said it was rebuilt by GM. It came out of a 1995 Trans-Am. needless to say it slips and I want to know if this tranny can be rebuilt ofr did I really screw things up.

People are telling me I need a transmission out of ONLY a 1994.

Help!

 

It shouldn't be slipping, but yeah, a 94 trans is what you should have gotten. There are differences in the TCC operation between 94 and 95. 95s use an extra wire and some different programming for TCC operation. There is also a transmission forum for this kind of thread.
