Exclamation torque specs for manley sportsmaster 14103-8 rods?

Like it says! They have 3/8 8740 cap screws from arp installed, but no torque specs were supplied... I have some arp molly lube to use with them, so what should I torque them down too? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the net!
Thanks
Cody

well, not exactly what I needed... I emailed manley, they sent me the instructions. 55ftlbs with 30 weight oil, and they said NO MOLLY LUBE. I found that kind of wierd, but whatever. They should know thier rods I guess. Anyone else heard this?? Or torque thier manley sportsmaster rods to this spec?

Yeah - I use my red lube mixture and torque to that spec.

Sounds right, and darn close to what is on the ARP chart. However, I do believe what ARP says and I use their moly lube and torque to their specs.

As an alternative to the torque spec, did they also give a recommended bolt stretch spec? I'd question their knowledge if they didn't.

Re: torque specs for manley sportsmaster 14103-8 rods?

unfortunately I dont have a rod stretch guage. I dont build motors for a living, so I would buy it to use once, maybe twice. Not very economical. I know it would be the correct way to do it, but just not in my budget. I would hope the torque spces would be enough to get it right. If it wasn't, why would they advertise that as an acceptable method of tightening?
