too much valve spring pressure

I was just wondering if having too much valve spring pressure would cause any promblems. I bought a set of springs from a guy who says he builds lt1 engines in Illinois. I am now finding out what the specs of these springs are: 140#@ installed, 385#@ open.

I read on compcams site that the range should be between 105-135 installed and 280-350 open

Thanks,
Josh

I'm running 155/410 spring pressures with stock lifters, and no problems.

Comp's rpm ranges are all low for the LT1, this leads to their spring pressure recommendations to be low as well.

IMO you are BETTER off with what you have than what Comp recommended.
