my car had an intake leak and i believed it leaked bad so i was overfilling the oil and now it seems to have a rod knocking sound when i go in higher rpms and i want to know if an oil change would fix this problem?

Same comment I made in your other post - you check the oill level on the dipstick, BEFORE you add any.
The comment made in the other thread was that if you overfill the oil, the crank can whip it into a froth, and cause air to flow through the oil pump and the oil passages, along with the oil, and it may cause bearing damage. If you change the oil as noted above, the oil will be fine. But if you damaged bearings with air-entrained oil, the damage is permanent, and very expensive to repair.

just change the oil, see if there is any metal in it, if you really want to be sure your safe cut open your oil filter and make sure there is no metal in there also.
good luck!

Appears since he believed he was losing oil due to the intake manifold leak, he just started poouring oil into it without checking the level. He now fears he over-filled it, and the engine is knocking.
He had another thread going on the problem, but he abandoned it and started a new one, resulting in the confusion.
