it idles great and wot is great but taking off and cruising sucks. Iac counts is 38 and tps is .63 warmed up at idle..

should I be going after another tune or questioning the edelbrock 58mm?

what is weird. It seems I can rev by hand and sounds clean but by pedal it lags
the cable does have slack in it but don’t know how tight it should be or remember

 

You did a data log, and I started to take a look at it. But you explained you didn’t drive it aggressively, because “no brakes”. And you said you were getting a “touch up” tune from pcmforless, so I didn’t see any point in going further with the scan review.

Are your brakes working? Was a new tune installed? Are you seeing this hesitation when rapidly opening the throttle with the engine under load?. Are are you just revving it in the driveway?

 

got brakes working no new tune yet wanted to make sure I was telling it right. Apologize for that.

I agree! Sounds really nice, I would think the poor driving quality is probably attributed to the tune. Or the semi-extensive mods.

so this is what I’m thinking. Put stock back on and it drives the same it’s the tune. If it gets better. Still need some tuning but go to a 52mm?

 

It might be normal. The more horsepower the less streetable they are. Mine is not streetable enough for some people to drive. I went with 4:10 gears and it woke up.

i agree but it should rev on command sitting at idle and why does it rev fine by hand but not by pedal?? I will confirm everything this weekend hopefully.

 

Update:
I took 58mm off. Drilled a 11/64 hole cleaned it all up and now tip in is decent and throttle isn’t breaking up either... I can drive at 55mph in 6th with no surging or bucking...
hopefully with Solomon tune it will just get better from here.
