Timing Gear Set

I am in the middle of my cam install and realized that I ordered the wrong timing gear set. I ordered a cloyes -3039 and it doesn’t have the optispark splines in the middle like my stock gear has. I called summit and they don’t show a set for a 1994. Does anyone know of a good stock or better replacement? Autozone has one but I have never heard of the brand before. It looks like the stock one. http://www.autozone.com/R,89679/vehi...ductDetail.htm Where is a good place to order gm parts that dont rape you on shipping? Thanks again

Does anyone know if this one will work for a 94? It says 93. I keep seeing mixed answers.

93 and 94 are the same as far as the timing chain is concerned. They both use a non vented opti. The summit chain will work. Stay away from the autozone chain.

The confusion stems from the fact the 94 F-bodies and Vettes use the unvented but the 94 b-bodies and d-body(fleetwood) use the vented, the catalogue companies can not seem to grasp this simple thing so they struggle to help you get the right parts for a 94 of any model.

Everybody wants to assume the stocker is somehow bad, it's not, it works great. If you want a different one though I thnnk if you look up a 93 on Summit it will list a Lunati timing set.

Aside from the multiple keyways on the crank gear, I believe it is. I'd just buy a stock set. You don't need the added keyways.
