Time to pass emmissions, need opinions on high flow cats plz.
Well I've been running the car since last inspection with no catalytic converter. Last year I had a contact that passed me(I passed the sniffer test, just not the visual since I removed the cat- also I passed the sniffer before I put on the heads/cam). This year I don't have that contact anymore, plus, to pass the sniffer with the new mods I will need a cat on there.
I don't mind putting a cat on there, I understand I will probably lose a little power but that's ok. It'll make the car a little quieter, which is a plus, she's kinda loud now! However, I want to lose as little power as possible, so I want to get a high flow catalytic converter. Does anyone have any opinions on this? Some flow numbers and/or performance test results would be nice too

FastZ, there is two chocies. You can either go with a Random Tech cat which will cost you a little more money but will flow awesome. Or you can go second to that and go with a carsound cat. They are priced about 100 something. I have done research on both these cats and have learned that both the Random Tech and the carsound cat is the way to go. There is another cat company called catco but I have heard bad stories about them. Maybe somebody who has a catco can chime and give you their feedback on them. Hope this helps out.
Random Tech 3"in/out universal hi flow cat- $145.57 @Thunder Racing
Catco 3" in/out universal hi flow cat- $66.39 @ Summit
I cannot find Car Sound converters anywhere. I found their website, but they don't have links to any of their dealers.

Thanks for all the help guys, I had a little extra money so I ordered a Random Tech 3" in/out universal converter from Thunder Racing. It was on special for $145 that ended today.

i have two catco cats and they've been fine with me. I felt what seemed to be more power in the higher rpms but thats compared to the clogged ones that were on it before.
