Re: Throwing a few codes quick question

DTC 24 = Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) circuit output speed low (this code may have set first, since it will not set if DTC 34 is set). Is your speedometer wokring normally?

DTC 32 = EGR Circulation. The PCM cycled the EGR valve, and didn't see the expected change in manifold absolute pressure (MAP). This code also will not set if DTC 34 is set.

DTC 34 = MAP circuit voltage low = high vacuum. The code sets when MAP drops below 16kPa, which is a vacuum level the engine can not achieve exceprt under very heavy closed throttle decel.

As you can see, 32 and 34 may be related.

I'm using the 94 factory manual code sheets. There may be slight differences on the 95.

Re: Throwing a few codes quick question

With a manual trans the code will set if the VSS signal is very low for 6 seconds, when the engine is over 1,250 RPM, the throttle is less than 1% and MAP is between 11 = 21kPa. That would indicate a moving vehicle in coast mode.

Again, this code has a link to the MAP. I would focus on the MAP first. The harness connector seems to dry out and start to crumble, causing intermittent contact. The MAP sensor can be checked with a volt meter.
