throwing codes w/ the LTs and rubbing steering knuckle

Well, I love my pacesetter longtubes....awesome power!!! But everytime I turn my steering wheel deep it rubs the steering knuckle!!! annoying noise thats it....... what does people do to get over this. Also, I am throwing a code everynow and then! I put brand new plugs and wires on during this and the car just got a new opti last year. Yesterday for the first time I noticed a diff. when the SES light came on for a few minutes. the car bogged down like it wasn't getting any gas. I am going to get it checked....where can I go??? I really don't feel like paying 25$ to a garage to put it on the diagnostic, does any places do it for free.? thanks guys

Autozone.

Try bolting the shaft on the BOTTOM most point....the hole is long and oval, put the bolt through and slide it down as far as it will go, then tighten it.

Take a look and see if maybe the motormount is worn, allowing the header primary to be too close to the steering shaft.

If lifting the motor a little would make it stop, then maybe you should replace the motor mounts.

I don't know if Autozone can or will do OBDI cars or not.

I have the same problem, go to Checkers and rent a code reader. It will read the code for you and they will give you a print out of what it is. AutoZone has to have some special OBDI guy to check it out but Checkers, Kragers or Shucks would work. It is probably the Knock modue that is making your timing off and becaue of the extra noise. My car is having the same problem and i found out that was it!
