This is from a buddy's car. Had oil in the coolant, but both gaskets looked ok, as far as can be seen...

Getting them tested Sat...Just wondering if any of the vets see anything...

hehe...i see the famous 8 got ya...

...was it just 8,6 cyl with coolant?

I would say if your gaskets look ok to the eye...then one was on the verge of blowing...and you prolly caught it before anything really bad happened...

Getting the heads pressure checked will tell all...

looks like the rings are going too. i would get a re-ring kit and do that if you got the extra few hundred dollars. summit sells a re ring kit for our cars that comes with pretty much all the things you need. and i believe its pretty cheap too.

the head gasket is probably going so you guys probably dodged a bullet by tearing it down. imagine the carnage if one of those cylinders sucked in a mouthful of coolant. OUCH
