Thinking about buying A-Tap

I am thinking about buying auto tap for my car...
Can u all give me info on what you have used it do diagnose?
Is it easy for a novice user to use?
How are the dierction for it?
Is there something better i should get?

Depends.... AutoTap is diagnostic, data logging/scanning software for OBD-II. LT1_Edit for OBD-II is a programmer, and does not include bundled scan software in the OBD-II version.

Autotap is a fine first step to getting into the technical end of our cars. Once you undersatnd the scan data the next logical step is LT1 Edit. They kinda go hand in hand after everything is said and done. For the price you can't go wrong.

I started with an Actron OBD II scanner and just stepped up to Autotap's enhanced OBD II Palm version. Next step will be LT 1 Edit.
