Rear ABS Sensor Problems

Recently I have been having problems with my low trac light coming on when coming to a stop and my abs kickign in so that i roll an extra couple of feet. Well I read on here that it could be my rear abs sensor and all i had to do was pull it out and clean off any shavings on it and put it back in. So i pulled it out, there was nothing on it, it was clean already, and when i put it back in the ABS INOP light will come on after i drive about 10 feet. I pulled it out a second time and wiped it with a paper towel but that didnt help. If i start the car and dont move it, its fine, after i drive a few feet the ABS INOP light comes on. Any ideas on what to do, or could it have all been a coincidence and it really be one of the front sensors or somethign???
Thanks
Bill

Cool

Might be a bum sensor. When you pulled it out did it have fluid on it? Sometime low fluid level will cause it to misread.

If you have access to an ABS scanner you should get the codes it's throwing and then figure out the solution.

For me it was as simple as unplugging and cleaning fronts and rear. The Snap On scan screen scolled every friggin ABS code there is in Helms manual so I was a bit relieved at simplicity of my fix.

These sensors can drive one nuts.
