are these numbers ok? fuel pump maybe?
Re: are these numbers ok? fuel pump maybe?
If you were holding it with the brake, why does the "warm park 1" data log show VSS readings as high as 12MPH?
Hard to tell what you were doing in the log. There are three distinct sections 1) to record 180 - shows fairly constant ~26% throttle, fairly constant RPM, constant spark advance, varying MPH, and the EGR DC is at 0. 2) through record 448 - appears you were driving it a bit; 3) records 473 to 795 - exhibits rapid cycling of just about everything, including MPH, RPM. TP% is fairly constant. EGR commanded DC is varying 0 - 100%. Assume this the section you are discussing. If the car was really sitting still, and you were holding the throttle position with the brake on, there is something wrong with the data log or the PCM. Its appears the PCM is commanding the EGR to open, and the RPM rises, possibly indicating an air leak through the EGR system, but if you watch the air flow GPS, that also rises as the EGR is commanded to open up. The MPH also goes up when the EGR is commanded to open. The log also indicates "data error" scattered throughout. Looks like the PCM is possessed.

Thank you Fred. I will make another log of sitting still. I did see my speedomiter go up a little...it has always done that, sometimes when I rev it up in neut too..
How do you want a log? Sitting still and a steady cruz?
I appreciate all of this.

Video in park, then in gear, with brakes applied.... remember it does the same thing while driving. But doesn't bounce, the rpm will go down When it bogs, and it will stay there until I give it enough gas to 'pop'out of it and get back some power.
Might be something internally wrong with the engine?

Re: are these numbers ok? fuel pump maybe?
Well its finally fixed. It was a clogged cat! The surge wasn't from the cat, it was the egr valve.
Installed the new 383...holly crap big difference! She is fast! Just changed the comp cam break in oil out, using gtx for thefirst 2 or so oil changes.
I left the break in oil in for 30 or so miles, that wouldn't hurt it would it?
It was pretty black.
Also, autozone sells the zInk adatIve, should I use that in every change?
