are these injectors compatible with lt1?

just wondering if the SVO 35# thunderbird supercoupe injectors are compatible with our cars?? they are low impedence injectors, with the same connector on them. i know i would need two sets (thunderbird = 4 cycl.) but just wondering if they would work??

Are you sure they're low impedance???

From what I understand, replacement injectors should be high impedance unless you're running seriously away from stock (as in 800+ hp). The low impedance ones wouldn't be compatible without some good tuning work, and even then I don't know how well they would work on a street car. I haven't ever heard of anyone running the low imped. ones on the street.

ohh...well the ones im looking at are off the 4 cycl....so i guess its the turbo coupe...thanks

btw, ive got the bosch 28#, but the clips that hold the injectors to the fuel rail wont go on there, so im kinda worried about fuel leaks...anybody else run into this problem?

You can't run a low impedance injector on the stock PCM, unless you add an external "black box" to convert the systems. There is a box available, although I can't remember who makes it.

There are sometimes problems with the Bosch/SVO/FMS injectors and the clip locations. Are you sure it won't fit if you slide the injector very slightly out of the rail?

Don't worry about the clips, they are just used to hold the injectors in the fuel rail during assembly. The injectors are held in place by the fuel rail which is bolted to the manifold.

I was under the impression that ford used mostly high impedence injectors.
