Is there a trick to taking this out?
I've scanned my car with Freescan because it is using a ridiculous amount of gas for what running I'm doing, and it came up EGR and right oxygen sensor. So I decide to try the sensor first and go out and buy it. Well I put the car up on ramps and it's sure hard to take this out. I can tell it's messed up cause one of the wires is completely disconnected. The only way I could see doing it at home would be to take out part of the suspension on the bottom. Is there something I'm missing cause usually when I go pay for someone else to do this kind of stuff it comes up on the board like a week later that it's insanely easy if you do this or that. So is there a trick to replacing the right oxygen sensor?

Its not necessary to drop anything. I replaced mine from the top using an oxygen sensor socket (must have this) and universal joint with a couple long extensions. Mine was rusted in there tight so I let some liquid wrench penetrate it for a few hours before breaking it loose. Its not that hard, you just have to be patient and have the right tools.

uh-huh
I have tried using two different o2 sensor sockets, none of them were thin enough to clear the lip on the exhaust manifold where the sensor is mounted. How did you have enough room from the top to move the rachet?
