is there a heater core valve?

I just bought my 94 Z a few weeks ago and noticed someone has bypassed the heater core. I am going to install a new core and hoses. Im just wondering if there is a heater valve that goes with the core? if anyone has any pics that would help. thanks in advance

Re: is there a heater core valve?

There are no heater valves on the car.You are going to have to cut the factory crimp fittings off to replace two hoses . And there are no aftermarket hoses , just cut to fit universal elbow's . If you have some extra cash (around 150.00 or so) you can just replace the whole setup from GM.It will also give you the hoses in the front of the motor and new bleeder.

All the rubber hoses can be bought separately from GM (or you can buy the complete two hose set).
