I really have no idea on the HP rating. This is what I do know....we are taking the LT1 to the furthest reaches of its ability. The computer cuts out at 7000rpm, that will be my new shift point. I want to push it to its edge. Then spray the snot out of it

the one you broke is a 2 bolt and the new is a 4 bolt. why is that

Because either way I needed to replace the caps, so it only made sense to upgrade to a 4 bolt since it all had to be machined and line bored anyway. Now I shouldnt break another one.

I got the caps at a local performance shop in town. They ran me 150.00 plus the machining on the block ran around 300 bucks.

mark one up for me too. I just sold my old motor and the guy tearing it apart found a broken #4 cap. My motor ran great held 20lbs of oil psi at idle. It was just a 6spd bolt on car.
