temp. gauge/sensor issue

so the temp. gauge does not move but the fans still kick on. does this mean its the gauge it self and not the sensor?

Re: temp. gauge/sensor issue

there are 2 different sensors

one in the waterpump, for the PCM(which in turn controls the fans), and one in the drivers side cylinder head(between #1 and #3 exhaust ports) which is for the gauge
