TB and Filter give 25 HP on HP TV

A real good friend saw a episode of Horespower TV or something (IT was on TNN) and they had a completly stock LT1 and they but a Holley TB (don't know if it was a 52 or 58) and a New blue Holley filter and got 25 HP on the dyno. Now I know that it sounds VERY UNTRUTHFUL but I was wondering if any of you guys happen to see the episode yourself.
The only thing I can think of a TB helping on a stock car is Throttle response. What do yall think

I saw HP tv this weekend and they used a stock LT1 impala SS. They started off with 210 HP. They installed a CAI which gained 8 HP, a new TB which gained 2 HP, and an air foil which gained 0 HP. So after a CAI and TB they picked up 18 HP. It wasn't just a filter, it was a complete CAI.

They gained 10hp with the throttlebody and CAI and then an addition 8hp from the Flowmaster Catback Exhaust.

I was wondering if someone was going to post about that Impala episode. Do most stock Imps dyno around 210 at the wheels? I thought they would be closer to 230 or so. Is it the cast iron heads that make that much of a difference or is it something else? Just curious.

The tuning is a little different (less timing), they shift earlier and if I'm not mistaken, the cam is different too.

usually hp tv dynos are really low...they once dyno'd a c5 @ 260 something hp...the foil did nothing, and the tb did very little, w/ a catback exhaust ,intake, etc etc it was 25 hp,i saw the show also

I was really surprised how low it dynoed. I had to laugh though when the air foil dyno'd 0 (even though I have one) and then the TB got a whopping 2hp I hope they weren't expecting much of a gain by adding a 58mm TB to a stock motor.

58MM WAYYYY to big for a stock motor...I bet a 52 would have gained more power due to air velocity...
