Sorry Bill but I'm losing you a bit. You're saying top looms don't work as well as side so you decided to use composite covers? So the looms you used are intended for top loom style or side? (can't tell from pic or Summit description). Sounds pretty crappy to have to drill the MFY looms for the wires. What do you mean about "fitting the boot but not the opti boot"? Sorry man I'm just having trouble keeping up ...lol.

I have stock valvecovers. I would like to use the same wires you're using. What do you recommend for looms if I'm keeping stock valvecovers?

On a sidenote .....the R&M's look like they raise the wires higher off of the covers, which must be better. Plus they are billet and cheaper, and the MFY's are just nylon.

I have to think slower so my fingers can keep pace with the thoughts.

I have composite valve covers, and the top MFY looms do not work well with them so I went to the R&M stlye that I modified to work.

The R&M are a side loom holder that bolts to the center valve cover bolts, other side loom holders bolt onto the head under the valve cover

MFY looms are 7 or 8 MM in diameter, MSN wires are 8.5mm so to make them fit nicely you need to drill the holes (in the loom) a bit bigger - likely not a must but it would look better.

With stock valve covers you can go either, over or on the side - as you prefer

Talyor wires have the spark plug boot factory attached to the wire and you "fit" the opti boot

MSN wires have the opti boot attached and you fit on the spark plug boot.

IMHO it's easier to fit the spark plug boot rather than the opti boot

that should help clear up my previous rambellings

You're not rambling, you're just assuming I know more than I do.... so the keyboarding follows suit

I'm still waiting on your recommendation for my setup though .....

I'm going to assume that since I have stock valvecovers you feel I should get the MFY over the top centerbolt looms (how do you specify "over the top" though ......can't tell from catalogue) and go ahead and drill them for the 8.5's if necessary. BTW ....what are these "MSN" wires? ...the confusion rolls on ......

Well, I'd rather have OTVC style. However, apparently the ones you use are the side loom style only. What sucks about that is I like the look of the R&M billet steel with it's raised platform and all of the color optionsl. I'd rather go over the valvecovers though .....so my only option must be the MFY looms. .....or am I still mixed up?

the R&M and MFY are both OVC type looms ( as opposed to non OVC i.e., stock routing) - one is literally on the top and the other is on the side

if you want on top rather then on side then shop around and see if anything else lke the R&M is available in an "on top" style.

Sorry I can't help you out there, we have now exhausted my loom knowledge

Thanks. I meant "top loom style" when I was referring to OTVC. Yeah, I guess I need to shop around if I want anything better than MFY since I prefer the top style. I wonder about the Mr. Gasket ones that Tim240Z was talking about? I clicked on his link but it didn't really have any useful info.
