Those are the ones I was thinking of, they would be $58 or so and the made for you looms are a click over $40 ....about the same as a Taylor kit. If the taylor wires would suffice that would sure simplify things though. Has anyone else had bad luck with the Taylor wires arcing besides the one poster?

I've been running Taylors with my Jet-Hot LTs since the end of June and have had zero problems. I have pics of mine in the sig.

I personally think the taylors are junk. I have installed them on two cars and never will again. the MSD wires are alot better. just my .02

Keep the opinions coming. I need the best set I can get because it's a major, major PITA to change them in my case because it requires removal of the supercharger head unit.

I suggest the top loom. I just did a long tube swap 2 weekends ago on my car. I went with the top looms. It looks great, it's clean looking, the wires are no where near the primaries. I've had zero problems with the taylor wires. I'm pretty happy with it.

Where do you see them for $58 dollars for the mds's? Let me know! The cheapest I saw was at summit for 75.
-Oh and doing research myself, I plan on staying away from Taylor. I've read no negatives on the MSD's.

I've had zero problems with my Taylor wires. There is absolutely no arcing. The kit from Thunderracing also comes with a wire crimper and the correct boots (straight, not bent).

I have over the top looms, I really don't like the side (based on looks). I'm running Taylor wires and haven't had any problems with them.

OK, you all have given me two different PN's for the MSD's (32129 vs 32139) ....what's the difference? As long as the MSD's are straight boot style for the opti I think I'd rather go with them than the Taylors. Are these 8.0, 8.5 or what? I think top loom is the way to go. Thanks for all of the info.

Thanks Bill, I can always count on you for accurate information. My decision is now made on wires. Now for the decision on looms. Why did you go with the side loom over the top loom Bill? If you had it to do over again would you stick with the side loom or do you think the Made For You Centerbolts would be better?

I've installed lt4 composite valve covers as the top looms do not work as well as side ones do.

The looms I purchased still get bolted through the top of the valve cover but I can addredd the issue with a couple of washers.

had it not been frot that I'd likely have gone with the made for you looms on the top of the valve cover.

However my solution is cheaper and looks very sturdy.

I prefer the msd universal set over thee taylors as you fit the spark plug boot and not the opti boot - so I think measuring and stuff is easier.

Note the thicker diameter of the MSD wires require some modification (drilling) of the MFY looms which have a dimeter of 8mm
