I had SLP shorty headers for a while and used the MSD 8.8mm wires. After finally getting em in the stock wire looms they ended up burning anyway routed under the headers. I would just get the Taylors and be done with it....

I've had great luck with my Accel wires and my longtubes...I sleeved the wires with some cheap heat resistant stuff that I picked up from Jeg's and they haven't been burned yet. A link to the product:

It comes in 10' rolls and wasn't enough to cover my wires completely. I just did the parts of the wires that ran close to the headers and left the sections of wire that wrap around the front of the block uncovered. If you want to do the full lengths of the wire, buy two packages.

I would say with the accel or msd you should be ok but I would NOT touch the taylors...heard too many horror stories.

I have MSD superconductors running in basically the stock locations and I have not burnt a wire yet.
Its really not the wires you use its how you route them.
I don,t like the taylor build your own wires cause they are a royal pain in the ***.
Buy decent wires (MSD or ACCEL) and route them properly.
