t-blot clamp on intake & tb? anyone?
Has anyone replaced the 3 factory screw-type band clamps with t-bolt clamps? I have searched online for t-bolt clamps that have similar dimensions (od/id), but cannot find any with the .5" band width as the factory ones? I need new clamps and would rather the t-bolt design, but all I can find are .75" band widths? It does not seem that the extra .25" will fit w/o having to shave the rubber lip off of the maf rubber connectors or the elbow on the tb? Anyone? TIA. -Jeff

Re: t-blot clamp on intake & tb? anyone?
My T-bolt clamps are .75" wide. They are nice clamps but overkill for a NA motor. I was running the stock clamps with 6# of boost with no disconnect issues. It wasn't until I stepped up to 10# of boost that the stock clamps wouldn't hold. I suggest you stick with the stock clamps if the intake elbow doesn't provide the room.

Thanks for the info... was looking to the t-bolt design, not for a performance edge or because of the power (or not) of my engine, but because my typical worm gear clamps(oem) needed to be replaced and the t-bolt clamp seems to be more rugged in construction and if I was going have to replace them, they are pretty similar in price.
