Impasse

It appears we are at an impasse. Bottom or top. Your choice.

That's funny!!! I wish I had a happy hooker in my garage!!! Anyway we did from the top with the hood on in just over 4 hours. piece of cake. left everything (accessories) bolted to the motorI would never consider dropping the k-member, brakes, and jacking the car up 2 feet or more to "roll" the engine out. Just my 2 cents

The easiest way is to have some one change it for you. Might just cost more.

You could probably train a pair of chimpanzees to pull the motor from the bottom. It's a freakin' joke

Working alone, with nothing more than a 3 1/2 ton jack and four jack stands, the motor was out in 4 hours. Factor in an extra set of hands and that should cut down that figure even more. And get this, absolutely zero bloodshed

Hell, it took longer than that, with more spilled blood, to R&R headers my first time around!

FWIW, people who have only pulled from the top swear by pulling from the top and people who have only pulled from the bottom swear by pulling from the bottom. On the other hand, people who have used both methods usually prefer pulling from the bottom

Does anyone have any write-ups for pulling/dropping the engine? I could really use that information. Thanks.
