I did a search and people say they have a rebuild kit with all forged parts. I don't think my engine will hold a 100 shot, so I wanna get it. However, I can't find the rebuild kit on their website. Anyone got their catalog and can gve me a price and a description?

Also how many hours should this take a veyr good mechanic to do?

my advice go for summit kit I us eto have it on the old engine.
Part No FEM-CSMHP766-311 but you can't order it on line since the want to know what pistons, piston rings, main and rod bearing size you want. I think you sholde take your engine a part before you order the kit. to know the sizes you need. you can upgrade evrey thing in the kit like piston dome or dished.

not sure. but if stocke PISTONS stand 175 hp kit I can't see y forged PISTONS can't stand 200 shot. not sure about the stock RODS.
I've seen people shoting 250 on all stock LT-1 for few times with no problem at all(that was ME self). but I can't tell you to do it with your engine. you have to decide for your self, cause some will say it will stand some will say it will not. to be safe 175hp

 

I used the forged setup on my rebuild. I was very happy with the quality of the parts and the general "completeness" of the kit.

 

If I paid a mechanic to do this, how much should it be ($50/hr)?
