Are you saying the threads are stripped, or the hex is stripped. If it is the hex, pull out the trusty vice grips, a couple beers, and a few cigarettes if you smoke and go to town.

Spin the axle until you find enough room behind the lug that will allow it to come out. Pound out the lug bolt with a hammer. Use only enough force to get it out-don't go wild with a big hammer.

Slip the new lug bolt in from the back. On the front, use some washers as spacers and tighten a lug nut on it (use the flat side of the lug nut toward the washer-backwards as to how you normally put it on) to pull the bolt fully into the axle hole.

Of course, there really is a c-clamp looking tool you are supposed to use to press the stud out. Just be careful with the hammer as not to warp the axle flange.
