Stock MAF Question
Stock MAF Question
Is there a size difference between lt1 camaro MAFs and lt1 caprice/whatever mafs?
The maf I have which is stock (not sure what lt1 car it came from) measures from end to end about 3 1/4 inches, but everything I see on ebay says 3 inch or 3 1/2 inch, so I'm not sure where these guys are getting the measurements from (I'm measuring the opening).
So what size IS a stock MAF for an lt1 camaro?

The opening isn't either of those.. the larger part that has the barcode and stuff on it, that's 3.5inches.
So do i have a camaro maf?
Re: Stock MAF Question
Any difference between the stock MAF for an LT1 F-Body, and an LT1 Vette? Or LT4 Vette? I know aftermarket MAF's are a pin to accomodate for in tuning, but I was just wondering about those ones ...

Yea, I know the impala's are more restictive, but I thought the Vette LT1s made their extra power from true duals and a less restictive intake. So are they the same deal as a camaro for the MAF? And what about the Grand Sports ? and LT4 F-bodies?
Aftermarket MAF's are a waste of money, and for proper tuning you pretty much need the screen and a stock style MAF, be it LT1 or LS1. Aftermarket ones suck to tune for.
