Re: Stock LT1 Track Times

My 95 M6 Z28 ran 13.7 to 13.8@~102mph all day long when it had nothing more than a K&N FIPK. That was the way I bought it.
It is now getting a new 030 over all-forged bottom end LT1 with LT headers, 52mm TB, GMPP LT4 hot cam kit w/new roller lifters, ported/decked heads, and !cat exhaust. Hoping for high 12's !

Re: Stock LT1 Track Times

i ran for the first time last night with my stock m6 and did a best of 14.26 @ 100 mph, i was at a 30 degree angle to a straight line through the first 100 feet until i jammed it into 2nd and it finally bit all the way. my 60' was like 2.36. i think my optis workin on bitin the dust too cause it felt like it was stumblin around as i was leavin and a little in second, its hard to tell i suppose my clutch could be goin too, either way conditions werent great for my car and i still went low 14's.

LT1's are a low 14, high 13 second car with a decent driver. M6's typically trap 98 - 100 mph, and A4's trap 95-98 mph

If my car ever trapped 95MPH id barf. and cry

Next question is how much stereo equipment do you have? every 100 pounds equals .1 in the quarter mile

Yeah, but your times are unusually good for your mods.

The driver mod was the most important part on my car. The only car I had that didnt run very good was the 95 LT1 forumla with 2:73's.I put a cai on it,airfoil, muffler and it ran a 14.0@100. I have a few friends with LT1's that dont run as good as mine but then again I have a friend with a stock 97 WS6 who ran a 13.6 Bone stock..6 speed! trapped 102 in stock trim down to the filter. faster then any LT1 I ever owned stock. Amazing how much better some run the opthers.

I also had an LS1 formula "very short amount of time" Bought it to sell it cause I got it cheap, I ran it before I sold it and it ran almost dead on what My 97 ran 13.6@104 but It was bone stock as well and my 97 had a 2 boltons. Compared to my 99's stock times there was a Giant HP gap. My 99 trapped 108 on a few passes stock and averaged 107.
