Stock LT1 Intake Manifold

Ok, I am getting Pacesetter LT's and I already a XE 227/233 cam on a 114lsa with a 560 lift... you think I should port out/PURCHASE a new throttle body or just get a brand intake manifold? How good are the stock ones?

I wouldnt waste your money on a intake as of yet. The net thing I would get would be some 1.6 rockers and then maybee some gears oe heads.

4.11's are the way to go. Before I was married I ripped a Z06 light to light with 4.11's and a setup similar to yours in a m6 car. We used stock intake manifold and stock TB for that setup. The only thing was there was some head work done also, which helped alot and a good tune. On the freeway I was about even with the vette til 100mph before I let off.

That's the funnies thing. With similar mods and 4.10's I killed 2 Z06's who thought they were the poop. One was on the track, I beat him by around a second, second was on the street. Just cause you drive a vette doesn't mean you're the fastest thing out there.

Re: Stock LT1 Intake Manifold

I wonder how many people will be posting "I just got stomped by a Z06" when the new 7.0L cars come out this fall.

Re: Stock LT1 Intake Manifold

at 55... like almost 1100 rpms so something. 75 is like 1600 I think?

Thanks Chris, way to keep my hopes up... stomping a Z06 felt nice until you decided to rain on my parade... hahaha

But I do plan on whooping that @$$ once the spray goes in :-)
